JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo to Open at Takanawa Gateway (Scheduled for Autumn 2025)
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has announced the opening of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, a large-scale urban development in the Shinagawa–Takanawa area. Directly connected to Takanawa Gateway Station, the project is set to become a new hub for international exchange, culture, and commerce. As a core facility, JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo is scheduled to open in autumn 2025. This project marks the first entry of the JW Marriott luxury brand—named after Marriott’s founder—into the Greater Tokyo area.
